What We Believe
The Bible is the inspired Word of God.
We have no book but the Bible.
Where the Bible speaks, we speak.
Where the Bible is silent, we will be silent.
In essential matters — UNITY
In nonessential matters — LIBERTY
But in all things LOVE.
God Created all things in the beginning. When mankind chose to sin, he separated himself from God. God then used the Old Testament times to show mankind that we could not be reconciled to God by our own works. He was preparing the way for salvation.
(Genesis 1:26-27, 2:7, 3:1-20, Romans 3:9-18, Ephesians 2:8-9)
Jesus is God’s Son. He came to earth (born of a virgin) to show us a way of life and to pay the price for the sins of mankind. This He did as He died on the cross. Three days later, He showed His power over death when He arose from the dead. He is our sacrifice and our only hope of reconciliation.
(Luke 1:34-35, Ephesians 1:7, 1 Peter 2:21-25, 1 John 2:2)
The Holy Spirit convicts us of our sins which helps us to come to a point of repentance. This will then bring us to a willingness to confess Christ and be baptized (immersed) into the Father, Son and the Holy Spirit. As the Spirit lives in us, He comforts, teaches and equips us to live the lifestyle that Jesus showed to us.
(John 14:16-17, Acts 2: 36-38, Romans 8:1-17, 10:9-10, 1 Peter 3:21)
The Church is the living body of Christ here on earth. Jesus instituted the body to be a way to encourage and build us up to spiritual maturity.
(Ephesians 4:11-14)
Christ will return, as He promised.
(1 Thessalonians 4:13-18)
